Mau Sthapana Diwas is an honour for the creator of the district who made his vision for the district to make its mark in the state with its culture, tradition and economy. Mau Sthapana Diwas 2022 was organized by District Tourism & Cultural Board under Tourism Department. It was a two day programme. This auspicious day was celebrated at Sonidhapa Maidan (Mau), many district level officers like DM, SP, CDO, District President of BJP & other public representatives had attended the programme with honour and express their thoughts regarding nurturing and reviving the district in terms of industrialisation, education and ease of doing business and assured the citizens to abolish the gun culture and throw out the negative elements of the society and paved a way, for the citizens to make the district parallel with other smart cities. Apart from this the programme got its height when other administrative departments gave their potential efforts to make the Sthapana Diwas, memorable by camping the event with their team like District Industries Officer lead the ODOP platform for the weavers of the city, CMO lead the awareness campaign for prevention of Non Communicable Diseases and free check up of blood sugar, blood pressure and BMI for the citizens, LDM (Union Bank of India) lead the awareness campaign for self employment policy of the Central Government by popularising and participating youth by their Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI). With the harmony of the district administrations like municipality, medical services, police services, information department, electricity department, district school administration, fire brigade and many other helping hands conclude the programme in well manner.
Many schools and artists of the district participated in this event for entertainment and preserve the culture of the district by performing folk songs & dance, classical songs & dance, screenplays, Ramleela and much more entertainment activities like Essay competition, Mehendi Competition, Poster Making and Rangoli Competition had been organized.
In the morning of 19th November there was a Parade March passed by the students of Ramswaroop Bharti and NCC across the town to express the motto of unity in diversity and embrace the patriotism in soul of citizen.

The event started in the evening, by lightning candle & giving homage by the Chief Guests to the creator of the district Sri Kalpanath Rai, who had the vision to represent the district and make a mark in the Purvanchal region of Uttar Pradesh as an emerging city by merchandising the textile business across the globe. The leaders also assured the citizens that they will work on the footprints & vision of the great leader to make the district as a city of livelihood.
