UP Skill Development Mission
Under the UP Skill Development Mission program, all the youth of the state who could not get proper education beyond class 5 due to economic or any other reason and who, despite getting education, are unemployed due to lack of knowledge in any particular field, Arrangements have been made to provide free short-term employment-oriented training through private training providers and state training institutes. The objective of the program is to organize the efforts of the institutions established by the state and central government engaged in skill development training, to provide employment related vocational training to the youth in the age group of 14 to 35 with the participation of government and private training institutions and at least 60 students in the training group. To enable them to contribute to the economic development of the nation by employing the percentage in wage employment or self-employment.
Skill development policy has been implemented in the state by the Uttar Pradesh government from July 2013. Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission was established on 21st December 2013 by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Government. Under the skill development policy, five centrally assisted schemes and one state government scheme are being integrated through the Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission. Under the program, personal training for all the youth of the state who could not get proper education beyond class 5 due to economic or any other reason and who are unemployed due to lack of knowledge in any particular field. Arrangements have been made to provide free short term employable training through providers and government training institutes.
Objective of the program-
To organize the efforts of the institutions established by the State and Central Government engaged in skill development training.
To provide free vocational training related to employment to the youth in the age group of 14 to 35 with the participation of government and private training institutions.
To enable the beneficiaries trained from the training group to be employed in wage employment or self-employment so that they can contribute to the economic development of the nation.
The mission has made a contract with the training providers to connect 70 percent of the beneficiaries with employment, otherwise, 20 percent of the amount of training is not paid.
Features of the program-
1. Free training to young men and women in the age group of 14 to 35.
2. Provision of 02 sets free uniform and free study material.
3. Facility for the candidates to choose the course of their choice.
4. Arrangement of training by high level private training providers and state training institutes.
5. Basic course in training as well as general knowledge of English speaking and computer to all the candidates.
6. Arrangement of certificates by recognized institutions to trainees after evaluation.
7. Assistance to connect trainees with employment after certification.
Coordination of various schemes
The schemes of seven different departments are being implemented by the Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission. These schemes are as follows:-
1. Skill Development Initiative (I) Scheme
2. National Rural Livelihoods Mission (Chhattisgarh)
3. Special Central Assistance for Scheduled Castes Sub Plan; bioavailable
4. Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Fund
5. Multi Sectoral Development Program (DAC)
6. Border Area Development Program (LW)
7. In addition to these schemes, the State Skill Development Fund (IWF) has also been set up to finance skill development programmes.
Letter to big/flexi training providers like Larsen & Turbo, Maruti Suzuki, Raymonds and Javed Habib to open training centers in the district through the District Magistrate to provide new sectors and high quality training to the beneficiaries of the district Mission Director Sir UP Skill Development Mission Shipped to Lucknow.
From the financial year 2018-19, 12 trades (Electrician, Welder, Fitter, Copa, Basic Castology, Hindi Stenographer, Draughtsman Civil, Motor Mechanic Vehicle, Electrician P.D., Training is being provided in Electronic Mechanic, RAC and Fashion Design.
In order to employ maximum number of beneficiaries, employment fairs are being organized every month at the district level by District Employment Officer, Training Provider and State ITI. Apart from this, on various occasions like (World Youth Skills Day, Lok Kalyan Mela, birth centenary year of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay ji and at regular intervals) through mobilization camps in the villages and schools of the district, people are made aware about the skill development program/scheme. is done.

Benefits:
Such youths / girls in the age group of 14 to 35 who have left their studies due to any reason, unemployed youth / girls are to be employed by providing them with short term technical training according to their interest / self employment. And certification of young men/girls who have not been certified in technical work.
How To Apply
3 easy steps to enroll and register in the Skill Development Mission training program:
Registration :-
Online registration by oneself through the website of the UP Skill Development Mission (FUNCHECK UPDATE). / Registration through the Mission’s District Level Office (DPMU).
Counseling:- Counseling the candidates regarding selection of training course after registration, better employment opportunities and external employment.
Enrollment: – Enrollment and training in any one course after consultation with the candidates.
